MOON SIGNS NEW SPONSORSHIP DEAL
Darvin Moon has signed a new sponsorship deal that only increases his market value. The 47 year-old was propelled into the poker limelight after qualifying for the 2009 WSOP Main Event via a $140 land based satellite before then
finishing second to Joe Cada for a total pay-out of $5.18 million.
During that time Moon became equally well-known for his adamant stance against signing any sponsorship deals with online poker companies or wearing their logos. Despite offers of over half a million dollars for wearing a company’s patch, Moon stuck to his guns and commented:
MOON CRASHES OUT
Darvin Moon crashed out of the recent poker tournament in one of the major shocks. The 32-year-old Perelman, a regular fixture on the poker circuit having worked on productions including Poker After Dark and High Stakes Poker, took home $158,755 from Red Rock Casino Resort pushing past a 558-player field.
He won his way into the event through a $250 satellite.
MOON TO ATTEND NFC CHAMPIONSHIP
Darvin Moon is set to attend the NFC Championsship along with a few others.Moon will be seated in a luxury box in the Louisiana Superdome, home of the Saints, alongside several top-tier names. Headlining the list is singer Jimmy Buffet, whose bevy of hit singles include “Margaritaville,” “Changes in Latitude, Changes in Attitude,” “Cheeseburger in Paradise,” and “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere,” which he recorded with country superstar Alan Jackson. Buffet’s career has spanned 40 years and resulted in a bevy of chart-topping hits.
MOON FAILS TO WIN TOURNAMENT

MOON TO HOST POKER EVENT
Darvin Moon is all set to host a poker event. Foxwoods Resort Casino is holding a week-long "Mega Stack Challenge" in August that will be hosted by well-known poker pros Chris Moneymaker and Darvin Moon.
The tournament series will be held from August 17-23 with a $500,000 guaranteed prize pool. The first event will be a two-day event from August 17-18 with each player starting with 15,000 chips. There is a $125,000 prize pool and a buy-in of $340.
DARVIN MOON PLAYING THE NATIONALS
Darvin Moon, the man who came in second at the 2009 World Series of Poker (WSOP) is one of 63 poker players registered to play in the 6th National Heads-Up Poker Championship running through the weekend at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
The self-proclaimed good ‘ol boy with the everyman style was seen still wearing his trademark New Orleans Saints baseball cap. He was quoted as saying this will be the biggest game he’s played in since the WSOP, and the only poker he’s played at all has been games with buddies in his small town of Oakland, Maryland.
MOON HOSTING POKER CHALLENGE
2009 World Series of Poker Main Event runner-up Darvin Moon will be hosting his own tournament series in the New Year at the very same casino where he won a satellite into the WSOP.
The Wheeling Island Hotel and Casino will be hosting The Darvin Moon Poker Challenge Jan. 14-18 featuring a series of four No-Limit Hold’em tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $125 to $550.
